Myer retains Ikon for media

Myer has confirmed that the race for its $50 million media account is over, with incumbent Ikon retaining the business after beating off competition from PHD.

A spokesperson for Myer told B&T this morning that Ikon had been successful and that the retail giant is looking forward to continuing its relationship with the agency.

Earlier this month, B&T reported that Myer had whittled its lucrative media account down two, Ikon and PHD, after Starcom departed the pitch.

It represents a major early win for new Ikon boss James Greet (pictured) , who only took office at the agency on July 15, after he parted ways with Mindshare in April , following the dramatic departure of Dan Johns.
