MediaCom has promoted Geoff Clarke to the newly created role of managing director Sydney.
Clarke has been with MediaCom for seven years and has worked across most areas of the business. Most recently he has been responsible for running MediaCom’s entertainment division.
Across his 20 year career, he has worked on accounts including Proctor & Gamble, Kellogg’s, Unilever, Dell, Carnival Australia, Macquarie Bank, Universal Pictures, Universal Music, Merlin Entertainment Group and the Football Federation of Australia.
Clarke will work alongside Mark Pejic CEO on business strategy. He joins Peter Barrie, recently appointed as managing director Melbourne, and Nicole Boyd, managing director Brisbane, as a local lead.
Clarke said of his appointment “Over the last 4 years the business both nationally and locally has faced many challenges and achieved a lot but that was then. We have set new challenges, created benchmarks and I am looking forward to achieving these goals with a brilliant team of almost 200 people here in Sydney and our clients who challenge us to create great work and innovation simply”
