MasterChef rises

MasterChef Australia’s ratings bounced back up last night, coming second at 7.30 only to Seven’s extended Home and Away.

Ten’s reality show was Thursday night’s seventh most watched program with 870,000 viewers, according to OzTam’s preliminary metro ratings.

It beat Nine’s Top Gear (530,000) and Seven’s Border Secruity: International (685,000) coming second in its slot only to the final half of Seven’s Home and Away (972,000).

Ten beat the ABC to third place overall, taking a total 20.3% share of all free-to-air viewers.

Ten’s main channel won 14%.

Nine won the night overall with a combined 28% share ahead of Seven’s 25.8%. Seven’s main channel sat on 18% compared to the 19.5% which went to Nine’s.

ABC was fourth place with 19.2% and 13.8% for ABC1. SBS was in last place on total 6.7% with 5.2% going to SBS ONE.
