MKR serves up a hot night for Seven

My Kitchen Rules ruled the free-to-air arena last night, pulling in more than two million viewers – its highest number to date.

The culinary show, on Seven, was watched by 2.110 million fans across Australia’s five metropolitan areas, according to preliminary figures from Oztam.

This beat its previous record of 1.841 million on Monday night.

Nine’s The Block: Fans versus Faves had a less successful outing, coming in as the seventh most-watched show, with an audience of 1.030 million.

Seven took out the top three most-watched programs, with Seven News and Today Tonight coming in second and third, ensuring Seven won the night overall with a total 34.7% share of all free-to-air viewers.

Home and Away and Winners and Losers also ranked in the top 10 for Seven, in sixth and eighth place respectively.

Nine took the remaining top 10 slots, with Nine News, The Big Bang Theory and A Current Affair.

The two sessions of the cricket, in the T20 Big Bash League Semi-Final, ranked in 13th and 15th places for Network Ten, pulling in 774,000 and 710,000 viewers.
