My Kitchen Rules found its way back to the top of the ratings last night to out rate The Block: Fans v Faves’ reveal of the master bedroom and ensuite challenge victor.

Seven’s reality show pulled in 1.648 million viewers last night, according to OzTam’s preliminary metro ratings.

The result comes after MKR came second to The Block on Sunday night and the day after it was revealed two of its contestants, Carly and Tresne, who have been promoted as best-friends are really a couple. The ‘reveal’ has been described as a deliberate twist for the reality show and a marketing play by The Sydney Morning Herald.

The Block: Fans v Faves had its strongest weeknight result yet last night with 1.455 million viewers tuning in to find out which team’s main bedroom design won.

Nine’s Love Child won its timeslot with 1.166 million viewers choosing the local drama over Seven’s Revenge (921,000) and Ten’s Secrets & Lies.

Ten only had two top 20 programs last night with Ten Eyewitness News (671,000) and The Project (561,000).

Seven won the night overall with a 33.1% share of all free-to-air viewers with 25.1% going to its primary channel.

Nine sat in second place on a total 32.1% with 26% for its main channel.

In third place was the ABC with a combined 18.7% and 12.9% for ABC1.

Ten sat in fourth place on a total 12.4% with 7.7% going to the network’s main channel.

In last place was SBS on a total 3.7% with 3.2% for SBS ONE.
