Love Child trumps Revenge

Love Child pulled in 1.289 million viewers last night, the result ensured Nine felt the ratings love as its local production overpowered Seven’s US drama Revenge.

Nine could not claim Monday’s most watched program with that honour going to Seven’s My Kitchen Rules (1.659 million) but the network did have the largest share of all free-to-air viewers.

Thanks to the popularity of Love Child which trumped Revenge (854,000) and the strength of Nine News and A Current Affair Nine sat on a total 32.9% of all FTA viewers.

The result put Nine just ahead of Seven’s combined 31.6%. Nine’s primary channel won 26.9% as Seven’s took home 23.3%.

Nine News (1.220 million) and Nine News at 6.30 (1.167 million) proved more popular than Seven News (1.150 million) and Seven News/Today Tonight (1.061 million).

A Current Affair (1.063 million) also had more viewers than Seven’s Home and Away (1.006 million).

The Block: Fans v Faves did come second to MKR, put it wasn’t far off with 1.554 million people choosing to watch the renovation competition.

Ten was again in fourth place in the ratings overall with its total 13.3% share putting it behind the ABC.

Ten’s main channel won 8.2%. The ABC sat on a total 17.9% with 13.1% going to ABC1.

SBS was in last place on a combined 4.4% with 3.5% of that going to SBS ONE.
