K-Rudd woos Aussie expats

The Labor Party’s advertising dollars have stretched offshore, with Kevin Rudd again courting the votes of Australian expats in Hong Kong.

The picture of the outdoor advertisement sent to B&T below is in Hong Kong district, Central. It marks a return to overseas advertising for K-Rudd who employed the same tactic in the 2007 election.

In 2007, Labor reportedly splashed out on a billboard site in Hong Kong’s Tsim Sha Tsui (TST) that went for more than $11,000 a month.

This year’s ad shows a beaming Rudd next to the party’s ‘A new way’ slogan and mentions “a positive plan for schools, jobs and a strong economy”.
