Jury panel for Australian Cannes Lions selected

News Corp Australia has announced the industry leaders selected for the Australian Cannes Lions jury panel at the 2014 Cannes International Festival of Creativity.

Leaders such as Matty Burton from Whybin\TWBA will judge the film category, Damon Stapleton from Saatchi and Saatchi will judge the press and Clemenger BBDO’s James McGrath will judge the direct just to name a few.

News Corp is the official Australian representative Cannes Festival of Creativity and also manages the Australian Cannes Young Lions competition.

“Australia had its best year ever in Cannes last year,” Fiorella Di Santo, group director of sales at News Corp, said.

“The 2013 Australian Young Lions took home two medals and our Young Lions competition was awarded most successful in the world. This year, we will continue to grow our competition with more industry support opening up more opportunities for our winners. Details of our re-launched competition will be revealed soon.

“I’m delighted to be announcing these excellent leaders as Australian jurors at the world’s pre-eminent creative advertising festival. The cross-section of talent selected demonstrates the quality of creative leaders our country has.”

The 61st Cannes International Festival of Creativity will be held from June 15-21, 2014.
