Seven’s House Rules and Nine’s The Block Sky High battled it out with the news and current affairs shows in the top 10 most-watched TV shows last night.
According to Oztam’s overnight figures for the free-to-air channels, House Rules was the third most popular program, with 1.219 million viewers, and The Block Sky High was just behind, with 1.174 million people tuning in.
But news dominated the top 10. Nine News was the most-watched Thursday night show, with an audience of 1.332 million. Seven News was second, with 1.259 million.
Home and Away was the next-highest non-news show, in eighth place with 958,000 viewers.
Completing the top 10 were The Footy Show on Nine (in ninth place with an audience of 923,000) and Nine’s The Block Sky High Unlocked (with an audience of 827,000).
