Fairfax completes move to Magic 882

Fairfax Radio Network has this week completed the rebrand of its 4BH station which has transitioned into an adult contemporary music station, Magic 882, for Brisbane’s AM audience.

Moyd Kay will continue to host breakfast, Ian Keenan has joined to chair mornings, Greg Victor will be the voice of drive and Jo Henderson will be live on-air at night.

Anthony Frangi, News Talk 4BC and Magic 882 general manager, said: “The Magic 882 brand reflects the modern Brisbane lifestyle and we are very excited about giving new direction and energy to one of this city’s much-loved stations.”

“It was very important to us that we took our loyal listeners on the rebrand journey and early feedback is overwhelmingly positive.”

Frangi described the new station as “family friendly, upbeat, warm and generous”.

Clark Forbes, Fairfax Radio Network’s national content director, added: “At the end of last year we said that in 2014 Fairfax Radio Network would deliver credible, lively and entertaining radio that will appeal to people across all age groups, and Brisbane’s move to Magic 882 is proof of this commitment.”
