Chicago Fire wins 8.30pm

US drama Chicago Fire won 8.30pm for Seven and was Monday night’s most watched entertainment property.

The drama sat in sixth place and pulled in 797,000 viewers to Seven, according to OzTam’s preliminary metro ratings.

Chicago Fire’s second episode pulled in 689,000 viewers for Seven at 9.30pm.

Air Rescue won 8pm for Seven with 784,000 viewers turning out while 775,000 watched Better Homes and Gardens Summer.

Seven won the night overall with a 29.1% share of all free-to-air viewers with 21.6% of that going to the network’s main channel.

Nine had the evening’s most watched show with Nine News (1.114 million). Nine’s only other top 10 shows were A Current Affair (962,000) and The Big Ban Theory (770,000).

The Ashes pulled in 660,000 viewers for Nine.

Nine sat on a total 26.8% share of all FTA viewers with 19% for its main channel.

Ten’s most watched show was Ten Eyewitness News (691,000), with Modern Family (573,000) and The Project (547,000) also in the top 20.

Ten sat on a total 20.2% share with 11.4% for its primary channel.

The result put Ten ahead of the ABC which won a combined 18.4% with 12% for ABC1.

SBS took a 5.4% share last night and SBS One won 4%.
