The Biggest Loser went out with a bang last night, soaring from its regular spot at the bottom of OzTam’s Top 20 to third place with 1.25 million viewers.
Its final episode was split into The Winner Announced segment (1.25 million) and Finale Night segment, which also scored over a million and sat sixth. The results saw Ten own two programs in the top 10.
While Loser hiked, Nine’s Celebrity Apprentice dived, falling to 14th spot for the Challenge episode (725,000 viewers) and 17th for the Boardroom episode (663,000).
The result is significantly lower than the season’s initial episodes, the second of which lured an audience of 1.28 million.
News won the night, with Nine’s offering taking first place on 1.33 million and Seven’s coming in at 1.28 million.
Today Tonight and A Current Affair also sat within the top ten, the former beating the latter by around 40,000 viewers.
Nine’s The Block was the second highest rating non-news program, luring 1.24 million. Packed to the Rafters on Seven sat eighth with 1.05 million and Home and Away won 939,000.
House Rules, Seven’s new renovation reality show, just missed out on a spot in the top 10, winning 908,000 in 11th place.
Seven won the night with 30.4% share of audience, followed by Nine with 27.2%, Ten on 20.6% and the ABC on 16.5%. SBS took 5.4%.
