The Great Australian Bake Off debuted to an audience of just over a million in the capital cities last night, but comfortably held off the returning Winners and Losers in the timeslot.
Nine’s new cooking show pulled in 1.119m in the 8-9.30pm timeslot, while Seven’s long-running drama series got just 798,000, after rating over a million on return last year from 8.45pm-9.45pm.
Ten’s popular Steven King adaptation Under the Dome again drew in an audience of over a million (1.015m) , up on the 1.01m on the same night last week, airing from 8.30pm – 9.30pm.
However, Seven’s The Mole pulled in just 555,000 viewers squeaking into the top 20, losing nearly 100,000 viewers from its outing last Thursday, and casting more doubt on its standing in the prime time 7.30pm spot, with Seven already axing its run from three to two days this week.
Nine’s The Block won the night with 1.446m, while Ten’s Masterchef continued to linger below a million viewers getting 773,000 last night.
Overall Nine dominated all people viewing according to the OzTam overnight report, with a share of 23.6.7%, with Seven second on 17.6% and Ten third on 15.1% for the primary channels, followed by ABC1 at 12.2% and SBS One on 6.3%.
