Nine’s new Kevin Bacon drama The Following has dropped nearly half of its viewers since debuting last Monday, losing out to a repeat of QI and Seven’s Criminal Minds in the 8.30pm slot.
OzTam overnight figures show the crime drama pulled just 589,000 viewers last night, down from 1.031m on debut last Tuesday, and 757,000 when it had The Voice as a lead in on Tuesday.
However, it did hold off Ten’s Mr & Mrs Murder (551,000), with the Shaun Micallef fronted show pulling less than his Mad As Hell (610,000) comedy on ABC1, on 30 minutes before.
My Kitchen Rules (1.894m) dominated the night for Seven, with Seven News (1.26m) second and Home and Away (985,000), Criminal Minds (966,000) and Today Tonight (954,000) all in the top ten, helping the main channel to a nightly win.
Overall Seven pulled 27.7%, Nine 18.6%, ABC1 11.9%, Ten 11% and SBS One 4.5%. Recently-revamped SBS2 pulled a 1% audience share.
