Agencies against each other in SBS World Cup challenge

As part of the countdown to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, the SBS Media Sales team hosted an exclusive World Cup Agency Challenge in Sydney on Wednesday night.

The event was held at the All Sorts Indoor Sports Centre in Alexandria and was attended by around 250 people with teams competing in an indoor football challenge. Twenty two media agencies representing a World Cup nation, faced off against each other in a competition that saw each team play 3 games before the top two faced each other in the final.

The night was filled with entertainment for spectators including games commentating by SBS Sport talent, David Zdrilic, Les Murray, Craig Foster and Lucy Zelic. It was also a celebration of Football and everything Brazilian, with guests enjoying Brazilian food, dancers and music, as well as bubble football, football jugglers and prodigy U10 players performing tricks during intervals of play.

OMD agency, representing Italy, was crowned champions for 2014 in an official award ceremony at the conclusion of the night.
