ARN appoints new marketing head, Jodie Koning returns part-time

Australian Radio Network (ARN) has appointed a new national marketing director, Anthony Xydis.

Xydis replaces Jodie Koning who has returned from maternity leave to the newly created senior marketing manager position, with a focus on consumer marketing.

Xydis, who has been working with ARN as a consultant since March this year, was most recently international marketing director and international brand director for Clear Channel overseeing Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America.

Ciaran Davis, ARN’s chief executive, said: “The shift in strategic direction for ARN in becoming a contemporary media and entertainment company is our key focus and this includes a significant renewal of our marketing investment.”

“Over the past six months Anthony has contributed to a review of the marketing strategy and worked closely with myself and the entire National Leadership Team in the development of a unified vision of the ARN brand and strategic position. It’s a great pleasure to have him officially join the team.”

Xydis, who was previously Adshel marketing director across Australia and New Zealand, added: “I’m excited to be part of the renewed strategic direction for ARN. With some of Australia’s best on-air talent I look forward to being part of the ongoing development of the suite of on-air, online and mobile brands, delivering content to Australia’s most valuable audiences.”

ARN owns the Mix and Classic Hits networks in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane. For the latest ratings results click here.
