ABC wins 8.30 with Janet King

Interest in Seven’s report on Qantas Flight 32 by Air Crash Investigations was low on Thursday night, with just 675,000 viewers tuning in.

The ABC’s Janet King (740,000) proved more popular than Air Crash Investigations and Nine’s The Footy Show (678,000), according to OzTam’s preliminary metro ratings.

The ABC had a strong night with four top 10 programs including ABC News (807,000), 7.30 (761,000) and The Checkout (799,000).

The Block: Fans v Faves found its way back on top without MKR to pull in 1.121 million viewers.

Nine won the night overall with a 30.7% share of all free-to-air viewers with 23.6% going to the networks main channel.

Seven was in second place on a total 29.3% with 21.8% going to its primary channel.

In third place was the ABC on a total 20.2% with 13.3% going to ABC1.

Ten was in fourth on a combined 15.1% with 10.1% going to its main channel.

SBS sat on 4.8% with 3.9% going to SBS ONE.
