Gibson joins 303Lowe from OMD, where he was responsible for the agency’s strategic planning divisions, and has been a key player in OMD’s new business success and sits on the agency’s executive team.

Gibson said, “I am excited at joining the 303Lowe team and working in a full service integrated environment. I believe people’s media behaviour is a fundamental part of creating impactful and effective creative ideas that truly connect with consumers. The opportunity to be part of a team truly unlimited in terms of how it can translate client briefs into go to market campaigns is a very exciting proposition.”

Prior to his role at OMD Australia, Gavin was vice president, global marketing at HTC based at the brand’s headquarters in Taiwan. He was responsible for developing the HTC’s global brand strategy and integrated campaign solutions.

“Gavin’s breadth of experience in terms of the roles he has had working on the agency side and the fact that he’s been a very senior marketer on the client side will bring an invaluable perspective into our business. Teaming Gavin with our other discipline heads will strengthen the exciting integrated dynamic that defines our business and that’s been such a fundamental part of our success,” continued Cleaver.

Gibson will assume a national role and work across both the Sydney and Perth offices. He will report to CEO Nick Cleaver. He will replace Steve Sinha as national head of media at 303Lowe.

“After discussions with Steve regarding the future direction of our company and the nature of our integrated offering; Steve has tendered his resignation and is leaving the company. I thank him for his positive contribution to the business and wish him well in his future endeavours,” said Cleaver.

Sinha said, “We agreed a few weeks back that the media team needed a different structure. It has been short but sweet and hopefully I have helped 303Lowe gain some clarity on future media direction, as well as a couple of positive wins along the way. They’re a great bunch and I wish them well.”
