2DayFM spices up breakfast

Sydney radio station 2DayFM has revealed the team that are replacing Kyle & Jackie O and it’s a star-studded four strong line-up.

Joining Southern Cross Ausetero broadcasters Jules Lund, Sophie Monk and Merrick Watts is former scary Spice Girl Melanie Brown, Mel B.

The English star, who is no stranger to Australian audiences thanks to her judging gig on Seven’s X Factor, has warned Australia to “get ready”.

“I’m so excited to join the 2Day FM breakfast team with Sophie, Jules and Merrick in 2014. It’s going to be one hell of a ride!”

She joins Today Network stars Jules Lund, from the network’s former drive program Fifi & Jules, and Triple M’s Merrick Watts.

Lund and Sophie Monk have worked on-air together previously, with Monk stepping in to fill Fifi Box’s spot on the Fifi & Jules show during her maternity break.

Southern Cross Austereo’s head of content Craig Bruce said: “I’m one happy chappy. We're obviously really excited about the new line-up. We're looking forward to bringing some new ideas and fresh, original thinking to 2Day breakfast in 2014.”
