Y&R To Lead Brand Refresh For Thrifty

Bolstered by an increase in market share and new partnerships with Tesla, Uber, and the AFL, car rental company Thrifty has engaged Y&R Sydney to lead its brand refresh.

Y&R’s appointment sees the full-service creative collective’s relationship with the NRMA extend beyond motoring and services to car rental.

David Coutts, sales and marketing manager at Thrifty, said: “I first worked with Y&R on NRMA’s brand refresh.

“I have been impressed by their strategic and creative approach and am looking forward to working with them to shine a light on all the great work we have been doing behind the scenes.”

Y&R Sydney managing director Sasha Firth said: “This is an exciting time for Thrifty and we are looking forward to working with them to bring the brand to life.

“Unfortunately, this does mean that our longstanding relationship with the Avis Budget Group must come to an end. We have been proud of the work we have done to date and wish them well.”
