As consultancies and creative agencies continue to make a harder play in media, conversations around overcrowding in the space are happening in every corner of the industry.
Though there are some who admit they are not at all concerned by the crowd, particularly Carat CMO Andy Rule, who vouches the space has always been packed to the brim.
Speaking on B&T‘s Fast 30 podcast (produced by the talented team at Eardrum which you can listen to below), Rule said there is a misconception about how media agencies are handling the new entrants.
“There’s a narrative that media agencies are sitting duck in this scenario,” Rule said.
“But really, they’re just as ambitious to meet clients needs.
Speaking on the space filling up, Rule added: “As for it being crowded, always has been.”
