Wavemaker Australia Appoints Content & Partnerships Specialist In Newly Created Role

Wavemaker Australia has promoted Elaine Quirke to the newly created role of group director of partnerships & creative media.

Quirke will be charged with fostering new ideas, collaborative content and partnerships with media owners on behalf of Wavemaker clients.

Quirke steps across from her previous role as Wavemaker’s creative strategy director, which she has held for eight months.

Prior to joining Wavemaker, she spent two years as business & strategy lead at Starcom MediaVest Group and was previously Luxury & Media director at The Wall Street Journal in her native UK.

Other roles included Marketing Manager at experience design agency Biglight and Commercial Marketing Manager at the Mirror Group.

Wavemaker Australia & New Zealand CEO Peter Vogel said: “With Wavemaker’s focus on media, content and technology, it’s important to continue to foster our relationships with media partners and strengthen our creative expertise.

“Elaine is an exceptional talent and her unique experience on publisher side, marketing and media agencies makes her the perfect person for this role.”

Quirke added: “I am excited to step into this new role and work with Wavemaker’s diverse and talented teams to create meaningful ideas, stories and content that help brands stand out.

“By working closely with our media partners, my objective is to leverage creativity and innovative technology to deliver great work for out clients.”

Quirke is currently reporting to Wavemaker chief growth & product officer James Hier and will report to national head of content & partnerships Shivani Maharaj when she returns from maternity leave.

Wavemaker is part of GroupM, which is part of WPP AUNZ, Australasia’s leading marketing content and communications group.
