Tonic Health Media & Elevate Run Agency Skin Check Campaign To Tackle Cancer

Tonic Health Media, Australia’s leading health and wellbeing network has partnered with Elevate to run a campaign to help combat skin cancer for staff within media agencies across the country.

Melanoma kills more young Australians between the ages of 20 to 39 than any other single cancer, and many
media agency staff fall within this age demographic.

In response, Tonic is partnering with Elevate to offer free skin cancer checks at media agencies in Sydney,
Melbourne and Brisbane.

The skin checks will be conducted onsite at each media agency by Elevate’s General Practitioners.

These skin cancer checks reinforce Tonic’s commitment to health and wellness within the media and advertising industries, following on from the successful agency meditation sessions ‘Stillness’, Yoga program ‘Tonic Flow’ and healthy eating initiative ‘Tonic Agency Cook Off’.

Tonic Health Media commercial director Jack Mortlock said: “As summer fast approaches, it’s the perfect
opportunity for agency staff to get their skin checked and actively think about their sun safety.

“Melanoma is the most common cancer in young Australians aged between 15 and 39, making up 20 per cent of all their cancer cases.

“The skin checks are designed to provide reassurance and if the doctor finds an area of concern, they will
provide a referral for an appointment with a skin specialist.

“Elevate is the perfect partner to deliver these important skin cancer checks as part of our Healthy Living
Program, given their clinical expertise, holistic approach to health and strong reputation,” Mortlock,
said.

Elevate CEO Brookes McTavish said: “Tonic Health Media leads the field in innovative and accessible
health and medical media in Australia.

“Skin cancer is one of those preventable diseases where education and information have a real impact and we’re delighted to support Tonic in this great initiative.”

Tonic and Elevate expect hundreds of media agency staff to participate in the skin checks from over 30 agencies.
