MTV are excited to announce Billboard chart topping, Grammy nominated, world renowned EDM superstar Steve Aoki to headline MTV Beats & Eats on Saturday, November 26th at Stuart Park, Wollongong.

Tickets to Australia’s hottest all day food and music festival are available for just $30, but get in quick as first release tickets have already sold out.

Fresh off the back of a sellout US tour and the European summer festival season, where he played killer sets at Tomorrowland and Ultra Music Festival, Steve Aoki, the crowd-surfing, cake throwing king of the electric dance world, is venturing down-under this November to tear up the MTV Beats & Eats stage.

Listed as one of the world’s top DJ’s, Steve Aoki is one of the most recognisable names in the music game and his shows are famed for being a spectacle like no other.  He’s the man behind Dim Mak Records, responsible for launching the careers of some of the most influential acts of the past decade including: Bloc Party, Bloody Beetroots, Klaxons and MSTRKRFT, to name a few.

Since founding his label he’s stepped into the limelight himself as a DJ, artist and producer remixing the likes of Michael Jackson, The Killers, Robin Thicke, Lenny Kravitz, Drake and more. Cutting loose on stages across the US, Europe and around the globe, Steve Aoki is now making his way to Wollongong on Saturday, November 26th to rip up the decks in a 90min set at MTV Beats and Eats.

Joining Aoki on the MTV Beats & Eats stage will be platinum selling, EMA award winner, Savage,  Gold Coast producer PACES and Kiwi sensation MAALA with more international and local acts to be announced soon.

In addition to the main stage performances, DJ and chef, DJ Cutloose, will be simultaneously dishing up killer beats and mouthwatering eats in the Smith’s Chips Summer BBQ area throughout the day.  MTV Beats & Eats, proudly presented by Smith’s Chips, will host main-stage performances, delicious food stalls and bars and a whole bunch of exciting activities you would only expect from MTV.

Proudly supported by the NSW Government’s tourism and major events agency Destination NSW, the 2016 MTV Beats & Eats festival is located in Stuart Park just metres from North Wollongong Beach, the perfect location for a weekend getaway. Camping sites are available to hire from Wollongong Surf Leisure Resort when you purchase your festival ticket with a 15% discount on camping kits from CampNow. Cabins, bungalows and apartments are also available for direct hire at www.wslr.com.au.
