Starcom Melbourne Wins Metricon Business

Starcom Melbourne is proud to announce it has picked up the media buying business for leading Australian home building company Metricon from incumbent agency Nunn Media.

Valued at around $12m in billings per year, the Metricon account was awarded to Starcom after a competitive pitch process and will see the Melbourne agency provide a full-service solution.

Metricon’s general manager, Victorian housing, Peter Langfelder, said of the appointment, “We were very impressed with the calibre of people, internal culture and consumer knowledge within the Starcom business.

“Their ability to disentangle the customer journey, and use media to help address their needs at each step was a standout for us.”

Starcom Melbourne managing director, Peter Toone, said his team was looking forward to the opportunity to help Metricon drive its marketing activity further.

“We are delighted to be involved with a business like Metricon. Building a new home is a dream for many Australians and we look forward to helping people realise this ambition with the Metricon team.

“The company is well established, with 40 years’ experience, and are continually innovating. We are very excited to be embarking on this journey with them.”

The announcement follows Starcom Melbourne’s recent win of MYOB, and Starcom Sydney taking on The Study Group account.
