Fast-growing digital Out-Of-Home intelligent media business, Shopper Media Group, today announced the appointment of three key managers and the establishment of a Melbourne office to support its roll-out of SmartLite digital advertising panels in shopping centres nationally.

Shopper Media Group CEO and founder Ben Walker said the new managers and expansion would allow the business to maintain its delivery of high quality services in a period of fast growth.

“Shopper Media Group is currently installing more than 1000 SmartLite digital advertising panels in 300 shopping centres around Australia,” Walker said.

“Throughout this period of aggressive growth, we are committed to providing premium service and support to shopping centres and advertisers, and this is the motivation behind creating these positions and securing such high quality personnel.”

Shopper Media Group’s key appointments include:

Grant Kirkby, national sales director

With more than 10 years of experience in out-of-home advertising and agency involvement, Kirkby brings an intimate knowledge of industry landscapes, strong professional relationships and sales leadership to Shopper Media Group.

With Shopper Media Group’s current growth trajectory and focus on innovation, Kirkby believes it is the benchmark of excellence in the out-of-home advertising industry.

Sophie Hodgson, NSW group sales manager

Hodgson has a unique mix of youthful exuberance and an in-depth knowledge of digital executions, having worked at the Nine Entertainment Company and JCDecaux.

She recognises that the merge of cutting-edge digital technology and out-of-home advertising such as SmartLite panels will change the way people see brands and shop.

Sally Callan, Victoria state manager

Callan has been leading the way in developing advertising and media solutions for clients for the past 25 years, most recently working for JCDecaux as its Victoria partnership manager.

Callan believes there has never been a more exciting time for digital out-of-home advertising, making her a critical appointment at the helm of the Melbourne office.

Walker said Shopper Media Group’s experienced team will help to deliver unrivalled out-of-home technology to shopping centres across Australia, in the form of SmartLite panels.

“We have assembled an experienced team of people that are passionate about our SmartLite panels because they know they are the most technologically advanced in the market and provide unparalleled marketing influence in shopping centre advertising with HD screens, beacon technology, webcam and intelligent WiFi analytics,” he said.

“Our analytics offer advertisers the opportunity to better integrate their messaging and supplies consumers with relevant information, which is an incredibly compelling story to take to market.”
