Australian independent events agency Sense is celebrating 10 years in business with the announcement of a senior hire and a move to significantly larger offices.

The agency, which counts Google and Sony Interactive Entertainment as clients, has also marked the event by launching a new brand identity and website.

Led by co-founders Mark Bennedick and Anthony Halprin (pictured above), the past year has seen the Sense staff count double, requiring a significantly larger office and a restructure of management.

Emma Vargas, formerly of Jack Morton, has joined the team as head of production, while the new base is located in Darlinghurst, just east of the Sydney CBD.

At the same time, the company’s 10th anniversary has provided an opportunity to hit the refresh button on its brand identity and a new website that strongly reflects who it is. The new logo leans on the idea of the five senses with the audience experience at the centre of everything it does.

“Over the last 10 years, we have grown Sense organically,” Bennedick said.

“In 2007, we were driven to start a business knowing events could be more purposeful to brands and play a major part in influencing behaviours.

“Retaining global powerhouses like Google and Sony Interactive Entertainment is testament to the great work the team has done.”

Halprin said it is a very exciting time for Sense and the industry as a whole.

“Technology in the event space is evolving rapidly with advancements in AI, augmented reality, and virtual reality,” he said.

“It has opened the doors for us to deliver more targeted brand stories within highly immersive environments”
