Send and see on Valentine’s Day

Love is in the air for Telstra with the launch of its ‘send and see’ initiative as part of its Brilliant Connected Future marketing strategy.

On Australia Day last month Telstra unveiled its new plans to make sure everyone was connected, seeking entries for its ‘send and see’ initiative.

Entries were gathered and the lucky winner was Mary-Jane who was able to see her husband’s reaction her gift of a watch from the wearable technology on the delivery man’s glasses.

The laughter and sincerity from her husband brought a smile to Mary-Jane’s face, who, as her birthday is on Valentine’s Day, saw the opportunity to spoil her husband.

“I think the coolest part of this whole thing is that I can see his honest reaction on his face – and I will be able to keep that even though he is the one that got the gift!” Mary-Jane said.

Inese Kingsmill, Telstra director of corporate marketing, also said: “This experience from Telstra provides a sneak peek into what a connected future may look like – a place where innovative technology combined with a superior mobile network can help people connect in new ways and enrich those special moments we like to share with people we care most about.”

This is just the first of many initiatives Telstra has planned, with a hinting of ‘virtual buskers’ as its second instalment.
