Search Optics Promotes Jessica de Vries To MD For Australia & New Zealand

Digital marketing provider Search Optics has announced it has promoted Jessica de Vries to the role of managing director for Australia and New Zealand.

With more than 20 years’ experience in the automotive sector, de Vries will be responsible for leading Search Optics’ continued growth as the company helps local automotive clients take advantage of the digital purchase path consumers now take when buying a car.

Prior to joining Search Optics in April last year as national sales director, de Vries spent five years working at CarsGuide.com.au, which included acting as its head of dealer sales.

Commenting on her appointment, de Vries said: “Australia has a strong automotive market, which, combined with consumers’ digital habits, presents challenges and opportunities for OEMs, dealer groups and local dealerships to improve their digital presence and capture sales.

“For many consumers, a car is still one of the biggest purchases they make. However, the days of visiting car dealerships to gain information about brands and prices has been replaced by digital channels.

“It seems that the industry’s online activities have not kept pace with consumers’ purchase paths, which is why many dealers turn to Search Optics.”

Search Optics CEO David Ponn said: “Since entering ANZ in late 2015, we’ve seen strong growth in our Australian client base, and [this] is something we’re keen to expand on this year.

“de Vries has been instrumental in our growth since she joined the Search Optics team, which is why we’re delighted she’s accepted the role of managing director.”
