Salesforce & Dropbox Form Strategic Partnership

Salesforce and Dropbox have announced a strategic partnership to connect the CRM and collaboration platforms.

The partnership will enable companies to collaborate and deeply connect with their customers across sales, service, marketing, commerce, and more.

Salesforce and Dropbox will deliver two new integrations to drive brand engagement and boost team productivity.

The first, ‘Commerce and Marketing Cloud + Dropbox’, allows users to create branded, customised Dropbox folders within Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Marketing Cloud with the new digital asset engagement solution.

Both internal teams and external partners can access these folders.

The second integration, ‘Quip + Dropbox’, provides access to Dropbox content directly within Salesforce Quip. Dropbox will also add support for Quip documents allowing joint users to work on Quip files that live in Dropbox.

These new integrations are expected to roll out in the second half of the year.

In addition to this, Salesforce will use Dropbox Enterprise and Dropbox will extend its use of Salesforce products.

Dropbox chief operating officer Dennis Woodside said: “Salesforce has completely changed the way businesses connect with their customers through the use of cloud, social, mobile, IoT and AI technologies.

“Together we have the opportunity to fundamentally change how people work.”

This announcement builds on an existing relationship between Salesforce and Dropbox, including the Dropbox for Salesforce app.
