Real Time Personalised Video Platform Smart Video Australia Launches

Founder of video content producer Vital Signs Productions, Rodd Martin, has launched Smart Video Australia, a real time, personalised video platform.

The platform leverages a company’s customer data to deliver live updated, real time, personalised videos.

The applications include video banking and phone billing statements, new services and plan offers from utilities, customer on-boarding/welcoming videos, or airline reward points video statements. In the case of video statements, billing information usually delivered via a hard copy mailed or emailed, can now be delivered through cinematic quality video with the opportunity to ‘cross’ or ‘upsell’ new products and services.

Each video is dynamic and automatically created using customer data, which is combined with customized text, images and voice over to create an infinite number of personalised video options. Customer databases of 10 million-plus can be accommodated. Videos are not pre-rendered and hosted, they are created and delivered in real time. This improves customer relationship management by providing an immediate and more engaging customer experience.

Smart Video Australia is currently implementing a pilot program to 50,000 customers for the Cash Passport Prepaid Travel Money Card – a MasterCard owned company.

“Personalised video is the next crucial step in the evolutionary process of video content and the move towards a more personalised approach to customer lifecycle management. Smart Video seamlessly combines data, personalisation and video to create an incredibly compelling and effective piece of communication,” Martin said.

The rise of personalised content to provide a truly differentiated experience, based on individual consumer data and advanced analytics, is the future of customer marketing, according to the Accenture 2014 Technology Predictions. In addition, 84% per cent of marketers believe that personalisation directly impacts customer retention*.

“A consumer who views a product video is up to 144% more likely to add that product to his cart, than a customer who does not watch video, research by Brandwatch found. Smart Video Australia enables organisations to build and improve their customer communications, with the ability to upsell and improve customer loyalty and satisfaction. Smart Video combines the strengths of video and personalisation into a powerful real time, one to one customer communication technology,” Martin said.

The videos can be viewed on any device and detailed analytics are also offered and available in real time, enabling on-the-fly campaign optimization.

Over the last nine months, Martin has worked with a leading Australian-based digital company to create Smart Video’s cloud based, data-harnessing software platform.

“With any cloud based technology, security is very important. Smart Video Australia can ensure that all data remains safely housed in Australia,” said Martin.

Smart Video’s sister company – Vital Signs Productions’ client roster includes The Westpac Group, BT Financial, MasterCard, News Corp, Tatts Group and Lend Lease.
