Ovolo Hotels Australia Appoints Atomic 212° To Handle Digital Strategy

Ovolo Hotels has appointed Australia’s media agency of the year Atomic 212°, to handle its digital strategy and performance media. This is the first time the international organisation has ever appointed a creative media business in Australia.

The waterfront Ovolo venue is situated on the famous Woolloomooloo Wharf, while Ovolo 1888 Darling Harbour and Ovolo Laneways Melbourne will also be part of the Atomic 212° digital strategy.

Atomic 212° CEO Jason Dooris said, “In many ways, I see great similarities between our businesses. Ovolo Hotels Australia conveys a cutting-edge brand with an edgy tone and a synergy between innovation and art. We like to think we’re cut from a similar cloth here at Atomic.”

“This is the beginning of an inspiring digital journey and we’re hard-at work implementing a sleek and up-to-date approach to Ovolo’s digital,” said Atomic 212° head of performance media James Shaw, who is looking forward to conducting “market research” in the Ovolo restaurant and bar ‘Lo Lounge’.

Ovolo Hotels Australia national marketing executive Edgard Diaz added, “I previously worked with the Atomic team and was impressed by their ability to hit targets and deliver results. They were extremely diligent about their work and that’s why I was keen to work with them again.”

Atomic 212° has been powering through 2016 with a raft of new business wins, most notably Tourism NT, ANZ Stadium, TAB Corp and Origin Energy. The business has recently ramped up its Melbourne office, and is in the process of a hiring spree, spelling exciting times ahead.
