OPR Unveils New Management Structure & Raft Of Promotions

WPP’s PR firm OPR has announced a new management structure that incorporates the introduction of a new chief growth officer and managing partners in its specialist business practices.

Jacquie Potter, currently the managing director of OPR Melbourne, moves into the newly created role of chief growth officer.

In addition, the role of managing partner has been created to drive deep specialisation in its key practices, which has resulted in seven senior promotions.

This announcement signifies a major development for OPR as it sets a strong leadership foundation for 2019, to build on the double-digit growth in the current year and maintain its position as the largest and most specialised communications agency in Australia.

Chief executive officer at opr, Richard Brett, said:“We have had a strong year in 2018 delivering double digit growth and delivering on our plan to be the number one agency in Australia.

As we head into 2019, our goal is to keep growing. To do this, the new roles and responsibilities we’ve announced today ensure OPR is well placed to deliver on its business plan as we move into a new financial year and beyond.

“I am thrilled Jacquie has taken on the role of chief growth officer to help us achieve ongoing business success. She has done an amazing job delivering high growth in Melbourne and an outstanding role leading American Express.

“Using Jacquie’s strategic and analytical skills I am excited about the opportunities this new role will bring to OPR and our clients.

“In addition, we have created the new role of managing partner, which gives the individuals more management responsibility for a speciality practice. Their remit is to work intimately with their leadership team, with the simple goal of collectively creating the best work for their clients.

“These specialist leaders will be focused on driving business for their specific practices, which will provide the best structure for future success for our clients and OPR.

The managing partners are:

  • Beck Crawford (Melbourne)
  • Fiona Forbes and Nino Tesoriero (corporate)
  • Marie-Claire Maple (B2B)
  • Megan Caulfield (employee experience)
  • Rachel Stanton (behavioural change and life agency)
  • Tania Jayesuria (health)

Each managing partners will report to one of OPR’s three managing directors – Graham White, Jacqui Abbott and Leon Beswick.

OPR also announced a further 11 promotions across the business reflecting the talent within its specialist practices.
