News Corp Launches Media Marketing Program With Melbourne Business School

News Corp Australia and Melbourne Business School (MBU) have launched a brand new education program aimed at further developing the knowledge and competency of media agency staff and clients around media planning, media investment and brand management.

The News Corp Media & Marketing Institute is a five-day residential program at MBU that explores topics such as marketing strategy, segmentation, targeting and consumer behaviour, brand management, media investment and data analytics.

A total of 25 spots in the program will be allocated to a mixture of agency (Dentsu, GroupM, Mediabrands, Omnicom and Publicis) client and News Corp employees.

News Corp Australia’s managing director of metro and regional publishing, Damian Eales, said media giant is proud to be partnering with MBU and advancing the marketing industry through the new program.

“Our clients have told us how much they value quality marketing strategy and advice, and at News Corp we’re committed to improving the calibre of Australian marketers,” he said.

“This initiative is an investment in our media agency partners, our advertising clients and our own employees.

“In a world where marketing investment decisions are increasingly complex, we see it as essential that as an industry we remain grounded in the marketing principles that remain true, no matter what the media choice.”

GroupM business development and marketing officer Greg Graham said the News Corp Media & Marketing Institute is a brilliant initiative that the agency is proud to be involved in.

“Training and developing our best talent is vital for our industry and we want to thank News Corp for investing in our leaders of tomorrow,” he said.
