Mango Wins Trans-Tasman PR Account For Wella

Global professional hair care company Wella has appointed Mango Sydney and Mango Auckland as its PR agency partners across the trans-Tasman following a competitive pitch in July.

Mango will be responsible for delivering a variety of marketing communication services including communications planning, creative, PR, experiential, sponsorship and digital for all brands within the Wella portfolio.

Matthew Foster, commercial director of Coty Professional Beauty for Australia and New Zealand, said: “We went to market in both countries to find the best agencies and didn’t expect to find one agency that could deliver against our complex brief.

“Wella needs an agile partner with expertise in generating cut-through with stand-out strategy and creativity.”

Emma Wright, brand manager at Wella for Australia and New Zealand, added: “Our new partner needed to be able to deliver PR services including media and influencer engagement, work with our stylists and ambassadors, leverage existing and new partnerships, and above all, be the right fit for Wella, reflecting our core beliefs and values.

“We are thrilled to have found everything we need in one trans-Tasman agency, and we look forward to working collaboratively with Mango on our upcoming plans.”

Mango Sydney managing director Tabitha Fairbairn said the Wella brand is synonymous with making people feel good.

“Working together presents our team with an opportunity to demonstrate not only Wella’s market-leading strengths in colour, care and styling, but ultimately about how it makes people feel,” she said.

“This is a significant new partnership for our business, and we warmly welcome Wella to Mango.”
