Instantaneous In-Store Screens Launched At Global E-Commerce Conference

eBay’s e-commerce company Magento is working with IE Agency to power digital screens in-store.

The digital offering is called Foyer and enables retailers to take control of in-store signage through the Magento e-commerce platform, using a drag and drop mechanism.

Content can be updated instantaneously on in-store screens cutting down on re-creation of digital assets, printed collateral and version control, and enabling promotions to be implemented in real-time.

Launched at global conference MagentoLive Australia, Foyer is made possible by partners Blocks Global and Nuon. It can be deployed to stores on a range of screens formats, from tablet size to large format displays.

Rhys Hayes, co-founder of IE Agency commented on the launch, “Visual merchandising has never been made this easy. Retailers can use their existing assets to update their store content; delivering on ROI not only from their e-commerce store, but also their in-store workflows.

“Magento is the world’s leading platform for ambitious retailers, so this is a natural extension to the platform and allows businesses to translate their digital assets directly into the store environment for even greater ROI.”

Jeff Herrera, head of partner marketing at Magento said: “Innovation is at the core of open source and our partners are always looking at ways to add more value to merchants. Foyer by IE Agency, is another great example of bringing the right technical solutions to merchants so they can create wonderful shopping experiences for their customers.”

Paul Wilson, CEO of Blocks Global, added: “What most people don’t realise is 94 cents in every retail dollar is still spent in-store, so translating Magento into the real world is a powerful achievement. The use of Blocks Global’s Screener means any retailer with access to Magento can get up and running quickly, from single outlets to major national chains.”
