Jamil Bhatti Joins Edelman Australia As Creative Director

Edelman Australia has announced the appointment of Jamil Bhatti (pictured below) as creative director.

Bhatti brings both agency and in-house experience to the role, with a strong perspective on effective creativity. Most recently, he led a 20-strong team at Camelot, the UK’s National Lottery creative agency.

Bhatti’s career has also spanned creative agencies in London and Sydney, creating work for a multitude of brands including McDonald’s, Strongbow, IKEA and Space NK.

As creative director at Edelman, he will lead the team of creatives, working alongside the head of strategy and experts in social media, film, UX, design, digital, research and paid media.

Edelman Australia CEO Steve Spurr said: “Jamil brings great strength to the team, with his creative work across multiple categories, and multiple formats beyond the traditional.

“What’s more, we value his passion for creating ideas which truly make an impact with people whilst driving clients’ business objectives.”

Commenting on his new role, Bhatti said: “I feel really excited to be given the reigns of Edelman Sydney’s creative output. There’s a real passion from all the best-in-class experts here to deliver powerful and creative solutions for our enviable client list.
