Isobar Promotes Erik Hallander To Managing Director

Digital marketing agency Isobar has announced the promotion of Erik Hallander to run the business as managing director.

Hallander (pictured above, right) has been with Isobar for more than nine years, originally joining as a developer.

Isobar said in a statement that the recruitment process was a rigorous one involving both internal and external candidates.

“After putting everyone through considerable paces, Erik’s extensive international experience – most recently across the Asia-Pacific region – coupled with his background in technology and proven skills adapting and winning in an ever-changing landscape, is what helped him stand out,” the company said.

Konrad Spilva (pictured above, left), CEO of Isobar Group for Australia and New Zealand, will remain with the business but elevate his focus to Isobar Group, with Hallander continuing to report to Spilva.

“Erik’s no-bullshit approach has made him a great leader, positively influencing the culture of the entire agency through his creativity and passion,” Spilva said.

“In appointing this role, it was incredibly important to find a someone who could hero our technical strengths, as well as have the commercial acumen to deliver radically meaningful outcomes for our clients.

“He refuses to accept the status quo, champions diversity of thinking, and we are proud to have been able to promote from within.”

Commenting on his new role, Hallander said: “Isobar to me represents the business that’s best placed to meet some of the challenges that our industry will face over the next years.

“With a heritage of getting our hands dirty and actually delivering whatever we imagine, the potential for incredible work and the no-bullshit mindset of the people here is undeniable. I’m super-excited to help foster this brilliance in the team over the coming years.”
