With the holidays quickly approaching and online shopping increasing, US firm VigLink, a content monetization company, put together an infographic that outlines the key takeaways from the 2016 holiday season.
More specifically, the top converting merchants, the top clicked products, where purchases are occurring (via mobile or desktop), as well as the top performing dates.
This information can be used as indicators for how the 2017 shopping season will pan out, as we typically don’t see that many varying degrees between years.
Furthermore, VigLink recently conducted a survey of 500 consumers vs. 500 publishers to determine what marketing tactics publishers were planning to utilize to engage with consumers and how well consumers typically responded to those engagements. Results from this survey are also embedded within the infographic.
