Digital free-to-air TV platform Freeview Australia has announced the appointment of Cameron Crain as its new head of marketing.

Crain replaces Jennifer Lee, who left Freeview in May. He will play a key role in driving promotion of the platform and its suite of products and services.

With more 10 years of marketing experience, Crain joins Freeview team from Foxtel, where he was the channel manager for Store TV and Main Event.

Freeview Australia CEO Liz Ross said she was delighted to welcome Crain to the team.

“Cameron brings invaluable industry experience, and he joins the team in what will be a landmark year for Freeview – our 10-year anniversary,” she said.

“We welcome Cameron’s unique skills in an exciting time for Freeview, as we continue to promote free-to-air content wherever, whenever and on whichever platform users choose.”

Commenting on his appointment, Crain said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the Freeview team and to be working on such innovative and successful products, with more to come.

“Having a passion for the television industry, I am excited to be bringing my expertise to this role.”
