UK Mobile Ad Platform Weve ‘a bloody miracle’

Dave Sear, CEO of the UK mobile advertising platform Weve, a joint venture between the UK’s three largest mobile network operators EE, Telefonica UK (O2) and Vodafone UK, handed over the reins of the company at its launch event this week.




Weve is a “bloody miracle” the company’s outgoing CEO, Dave Sear has described in his departing speech during its launch party.

The mobile commerce platform celebrated the completion of its three-month trial with a launch party at Cafe de Paris in London, where Sear, who has led the company for the last 18 months, gave his departing words as he handed over to new newly appointed interim CEO, Tim Hipperson. 

Sear discussed the difficulty that a company that brought together traditional competitors such as Vodafone, EE and O2 faced, and lauded his team for being able to make it work beyond its trial period.
