Sydney-based integrated communications agency Magnum & Co has announced the appointment of Carl Moggridge as its managing director.

Moggridge (pictured above) will replace Aaron Crowther, who departed the business earlier this month to take up a role in the not-for-profit sector.

In his new role, Moggridge will lead Magnum & Co in continuing to deliver integrated work for its clients and further drive the business forward, closely supported by owners Michelle Hampton and Katie Barclay.

With over 15 years’ experience, Moggridge joins Magnum & Co from Edelman, where he oversaw strategy and planning services across its PR and digital divisions.

During his time at Edelman, he created the agency’s first integrated strategy and planning department

Moggridge’s other previous roles in Sydney and London have included strategy director at Naked Communications and digital strategy director at OgilvyOne.

Magnum & Co founder and director Michelle Hampton (pictured above, left) said: “We’re excited to bring someone on board who understands the integrated space and is invested in our people and culture.

“Carl’s experience in delivering successful campaigns underpinned by solid strategy, alongside his digital knowledge and understanding of the challenges facing today’s brands, make him an ideal leader of the agency.

“With our focus over the last two years being to cement our service lines across the influencer marketing, social and content spaces, these now represent the fastest-growing divisions in our business.

“Carl joins the agency at an ideal time, where we can combine his overall business, digital and strategic expertise with our legacy in earned media to deliver integrated work that really makes a difference to our client’s businesses.”

Commenting on his appointment, Moggridge said: “Undoubtedly this industry is going through a lot of change, but you have to see that as an exciting opportunity.

“After meeting the team at Magnum & Co, it was clear they felt the same and I was reminded why I love working in agencies. I’m looking forward to leading the team to help our clients put some important work into the world that we’re all proud of.”
