Odgers was appointed to the newly-created role of advertising director in September 2010. According to his LinkedIn profile, he is now senior vice president at asset management firm Bain Capital.
Brennan, who has previously worked at Virgin Mobile Australia and Virgin Media, told B&T: “In my new role I will be working with the team to help shape the future of retail, partnering with Australian retailers to help them take advantage of technologies driving significant changes online, mobile and in their brick stores. In addition to working with retail partners, I will be focused on driving value and convenience for the 7 million shoppers who visit the eBay site every month.
“With more of a marketing lens, I will be helping grow the eBay business by bringing more buyers to the site and encouraging them to do so more frequently by connecting them with our strong and growing seller base. At the same time I will working on solutions to deepen our customer relationships and continue to reposition the brand from an auction site to a site with new items from branded retailers people know and love.
“I am also excited to share our traffic volume with innovative advertisers looking to target their customers with retail intelligence, that is a knowledge of buying behaviours.
“eBay is an exciting digital brand pioneering great new innovations, particularly in mobile. I am very proud to be part of the team driving consumer-centric change in the market.”
