CX Lavender Hires Its First Digital Design Partner

Independent agency CX Lavender has appointed Stan Cheung to the newly created position of digital design partner.

Cheung joins the agency (which happened to win a gong at last year’s B&T Awards) after four years at Wunderman-Bienalto as digital design director.

He will lead CX Lavender Design, working closely with chief creative officer Anna Karena and head of technology Clint Bauer.

Karena said the new digital design partner role cements CX Lavender’s commitment to collecting subject-matter experts and bringing together team members with a diversity of creative and technical skills.

“Design for CX goes far deeper than aesthetic, and Stan is one of those rare digital design and UX talents who is as equally gifted at creating immaculate form, as he is in driving its perfect technical function,” she said.

“He’s also an exemplary digital creative who truly understands collaboration and arrives fresh from leading in Agile on some of Australia’s biggest brands. That makes him beautifully qualified for our clients, and for CX Lavender.”

Commenting on his appointment, Cheung said: “I was attracted by CX Lavender’s collaborative culture and agile way of working internally and with clients.

“I love that there are no departments here, with guilds representing areas of skills rather than confining you within departmental barriers. I look forward to working with clients to help make their customers’ digital experience more useful, engaging and intuitive.”
