Columbus has won the performance media and experience services account for footwear group RCG Corporation (RCG) in Australia and New Zealand following a competitive pitch.

The scope of Columbus’ work will cover RCG’s core brands – The Athletes Foot, Platypus, Saucony, CAT, Sperry Top-Sider, Skechers, Merrell, Vans, Timberland, and Dr. Martens – in Australia and New Zealand.

The account win encompasses RCG’s paid search, affiliate marketing, prospecting and re-marketing, and will also support the company’s e-commerce and digital marketing teams on experience projects, primarily SEO.

Columbus CEO Rebecca Tos said: “RCG Corporation is focused on customer strategy, the core currency of our industry, and we’re thrilled to partner with them to deliver their ambitious business goals.

“The win is testament to Columbus’ evolved offering of delivering end-to-end brand experiences through a world class data narrative, and truly understanding the segment of one. RCG will benefit from our expanded value-offering which now covers content, paid social and data.”

Columbus’ general manager for NSW and Queensland, Mitch McBeath, said the RCG account win is an outstanding result for the agency.

“RCG hold such prestige within the performance and active lifestyle sector, and we’re thrilled to partner with them to deliver their business goals,” he said.

RCG’s general manager of e-commerce, Kasie Heathcote, said: “The Columbus team have shown themselves to be leaders in the field of performance marketing and we are extremely excited to commence working with them this month.

“Their commitment to the process to date has been impressive and we look forward to seeing the impact of their strategy on our business in the coming months.”
