Campaign: OO’s Shamelessly Good

Online department store has announced the launch of its new Shamelessly Good Value campaign, signaling the next evolution of one of Australia’s most established online retailers.

Geoff Adams, OO buying manager said the launch of the TVC, airing from Sunday 28th September, would help the retailer reposition its brand from being an online discount department store into Australia’s favourite home and lifestyle department store.

“The campaign launch coincides with the release of our new furniture and lifestyle range, which is featured in the advertisement.

“The Shamelessly Good Value tagline is a little quirky and unexpected, which pays homage to our brand personality and also speaks to the great savings and quality you get when you shop at OO,” he said.

Created by The Ideas Hatchery, the TVC shows a mum dressed up for a summer BBQ she’s hosting, walking through her house. Carrying cocktails on a tray, she notices her husband using the blender she’s bought from OO, and sees her friend admiring her new chair, also from OO. As she reaches the lounge, she trips when a child bumps into her.

Suddenly, the perfect party she’s hosting comes to a standstill as her drinks go flying and her guests stare. She’s mortified until she realises the softness of the rug she’s fallen onto (which she’s bought from OO) and starts to run her hands through it. A voiceover says ‘…shamelessly good value’.

The TVC will run for 10 weeks and will appear on metro Free-to-Air, as well as on digital media. The 30-second ad is supported by a 15 second execution and will run in the lead-up to the busy Christmas shopping season.
