Independent research consultancy, Nature, has announced an interstate expansion with the establishment of a Sydney office in the New Year. The announcement comes off the back of the business being recognised as Research Agency of the Year at the B&T Awards in November.

According to Nature’s founder and managing director, Chris Crook, the move is a natural progression for the business following twelve years of sustained growth across both Melbourne and Sydney markets.

“An on-the-ground presence will not only help us provide an even better level of service to our existing clients in Sydney, but also enable us to better cater for local demand for our proposition.”

“Our clients have expressed a desire for the benefits of a strong boutique offering at scale. They want great work wrapped up in amazing client service, fuelled by staying true to start-up values and ways of working,” he said.

“In Sydney we are seeing demand for agencies that deliver substance, passion, senior leaders getting and staying involved in client accounts and the genuine drive to go the extra mile, and that’s what Nature is all about.”

The core offering for the business will be strategic marketing research, building on the expertise, tools and culture of the Melbourne office.

The move to Sydney will be in partnership with Nature’s long standing strategic qualitative and cultural insights alliance, The Lab Insights & Strategy, which now has a growing office of six in Sydney run by Andrew Therkelsen. Over the last 12 years, Nature and The Lab have completed in excess of 100 strategic studies together, the partnership delivering clients a full-service offering run by experts in their field.

Nature’s Sydney offering will be led by James Jayesuria, who has been a key member of the senior leadership team in Melbourne for the past few years. James’ commercial acumen and natural ability to simplify complex information into actionable insights has earnt him a strong reputation among clients as a key adviser to unlocking growth.

“James has successfully grown relationships with clients across industries and business challenges here in Melbourne over recent years. He is a well-rounded consultant who clients immediately connect with – making him the perfect lead for our Sydney offering,” said Crook.
