A new app has launched which allows brands and agencies to take control of its video and branded photo marketing experiences at events and experiential marketing activities.

While there are similar products available in the market place, the new app Biz Brand Cam is a fully customisable app  available for brands and agencies to download directly from the Apple App Store.

The app’s fully customisable settings panel allows the functionality to quickly and easily be tailored to suit each activation’s needs. Brands can choose to capture authentic photo or video content (including animated GIF’s) and determine which social upload options they can be shared to, with optional Fan Gates also available. All the branding elements can be replaced, allowing brands to take full ownership of the entire user experience. There is also the option to include a competition entry form or database collection tool, or include a link to your own database URL.

Kapja Ltd, the New Zealand software development company that developed Biz Brand Cam, enlisted MediaWorks, New Zealand’s largest independent broadcaster as it’s launch partner. MediaWorks radio brands used Biz Brand Cam during summer to capture branded photos and videos of audiences at events such as concerts, sporting events, and awards nights, and for advertisers on-site promotions. The Biz Brand Cam app captured branded photos and videos of those attending and these were shared to social media creating real time engagement and brand conversations.

MediaWorks marketing manager Emily Hancox recognised the importance of leveraging these social interactions to connect and grow their audiences. “Kapja’s Biz Brand Cam app allows us to produce authentic, inspiring and relevant content in collaboration with our customers,” she said. “It perfectly compliments our existing promotional, experimental, and event marketing activities, and has the functionality to meet both our brands, and advertisers, marketing objectives.”

Kapja managing director Ro Edge believes it has both short and long term applications for any business or brand wanting to create a brand experience that actively engages today’s generation.
