Bonzai Appoints Rupert Pay As VP Of Sales

Data-driven creative technology platform Bonzai has announced the appointment of Rupert Pay (pictured) as its vice president of sales.

Based in Bonzai’s Sydney office, Pay will be responsible for the platform’s global sales and revenue.

He joins Bonzai from Blis, where he was the Asia-Pacific vice president for the location marketing company. Prior to his time at Blis, Pay was head of client services at InMobi.

Bonzai co-founder and CEO Rahul Pandey said Pay will be key to Bonzai’s growth strategy, having been instrumental in the success of both InMobi and Blis locally.

“During his time at InMobi, Rupert’s name consistently came up as a driving force behind their early success,” he said.

“He brings a unique blend of expertise across mobile technology, creative and media, with an impeccable history of delivering results wherever he has worked.

“We’re delighted that he’s leading our sales charge and helping us to realise our vision of enabling every creative to deliver relevant and thought-provoking digital executions.”

Commenting on his new role, Pay said: “Having been a customer in this space, I was always bowled over by Rahul and the Bonzai team’s customer-first approach, demonstrating flexibility and adding value throughout the process.

“They reflect my own views about client-service, particularly coming from an agency background. It’s also a great time to be in this space, with creative being one of the last pieces of the tech stack jigsaw to work out.”
