Atomic 212° Melbourne has continued its impressive growth trajectory with nine senior recruits and an expanding rolodex anticipated to match Atomic Sydney’s $250 million billings by 2018.

The Melbourne office has had an impressive 2016 so far, winning the massive $40 million Origin energy account. As a result of this stellar growth, the agency has hired nine new staff members to join its ranks.

Meanwhile, Atomic Group GM, Claire Fenner (pictured above), who was a launch member of the agency, has relocated to Melbourne to head up the offering. Fenner has been a key component of the agency’s success in Sydney, leading the business to win Campaign Independent Agency of the Year, AdNews Media Agency of the Year and Mumbrella Media Agency of the Year titles in just twelve months.

Fenner, an industry young-gun and B&T 30 Under 30 Award Winner, will focus on nurturing new talent and driving success as she frontlines the business from the Victorian office, which is situated within the thriving food and wine district of Melbourne.

Fenner will focus largely on powering ahead with a full-service FY17 strategy for Origin Energy.

“Running the Sydney agency for the past two years has been a whirlwind, an incredible experience with me regularly having to pinch myself to make sure it was in fact a reality. The team in Sydney are world class, however the Melbourne team are proving to be a strong rival.”

Atomic 212° Melbourne has bolstered its ranks across planning, client services and digital with impressive recruits such as former MediaCom Implementation Planning and Investment Director, Lorraine Woods, who now holds the position of Atomic 212° Head of Trading from Melbourne.

Woods said: “I was thrilled to join the team shortly after an impressive $40 million Origin Energy win. I am glad to work alongside such strong talent and I look forward to tackling this new opportunity. Jason is an inspiring leader, I’m looking forward to working with him again.”

Eliza Golub also joins the Atomic Melbourne team as GAD Planning and client services. She joins the agency from Dentsu Mitchell, where she previously held the position as client service director. Golub has brought with her extensive experience across a diversity of categories including government, automotive, entertainment and pharmaceutical.

“I could not be happier working within such as fast-paced and innovative agency. There is a feeling of vibrancy that words cannot quite explain. I’m always looking for ways to develop and implement strategies that streamline processes and working within an independent and evolving agency has really enabled me to do what I love”.

Atomic Melbourne group business director and lead singer of The Filthy Pinks, Rory Heffernan, who launched the Melboure office in 2014 and oversees the management of all Melbourne accounts, said the rapid expansion of the Melbourne office has been made possible by Atomic 212°’s client successes and multiple award wins.

“This business has grown from a grassroots level and in this process we have grown to handle some of the biggest brands in the country. The people we have recruited along the way are invaluable. We are very much a family.”

Atomic 212° has offices based in Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle and Auckland, from where it services clients in Australia, New Zealand, China, USA, Singapore and Japan. For further information concerning Atomic 212° as a business please visit www.atomic212°.com.au.
